V Australia

Hey all, time for a new airline review, this time i will review V Australia, my Favorite long-haul airline of all time.

Customer Service:

The customer service on V Australia was the best by far! The airplane crew were great, they did whatever i asked, they got me what i wanted without hesitation. The ground crew are also awesome! They are just like the People Care at Arise Church!

Food and Beverage:

The food and beverage service is just like any other airline, except the on-board chefs make better food. For breakfast they were serving crepes! Yum! They had many awesome things
Not much more to say but V Australia Represent!

Entertainment:

I have so much to say about entertainment. It was the best thing ever, i would rather have one of these screens at my house than a TV, Computer and Facebook! There were HEAPS of movies on offer, and heaps of songs. If you bought a USB, you could play your own songs! It was a touchscreen, so games were awesome!

Overall:

Overall, V Australia is awesome, and i am pumped to go again some day.
I wanted the airplane to slow down so i could enjoy more flight time

I recommend  V Australia for anyone who wants a cheap flight and good service.
Rating: 10/10 :-)

British Airways

Customer service:

On both leaving and returning British Airways flights, I overheard passengers make special comment on the quality of flight attendant customer service.
My request for another eye mask for the evening flight was serviced quickly
and staff were cherry and helpful throughout the journey.

Food and Beverages:

The joys of a few days of fantastic Singaporean cuisine soon gave way to the prosaic reality of airline food, my vegan meal of beans and vegetables fine when seasoned. However, the overcooked vegetables weren’t very appetising. Other less fussy passengers had a choice of beef and rice or a chicken dish.
The vegan snack box distributed before landing was filled with a croissant and yoghurt for all passengers as vegans were given a rice cracker and soy milk. A slight pang for Singaporean breakfast was felt here.

Entertainment:

Passengers had access to over 200 films, TV shows and audio choices on demand, and as I had watched all the movies I had wanted to on my way over, I instead listen to Shins side project Broken Bells’ new album.

Overall:

When checking in online, I chose an aisle seat from the 3-3-3 configuration of the World Traveller class cabin which gave me a bit more room to manoeuvre in the very full plane.
Originally hailing from London, the Singapore to Sydney sector was inevitably flying at full capacity in all classes.

An unusually long delay to the runway was accompanied with no air conditioning which resolved itself as soon as we were moving. However, once in the air a common complaint that it was too cold was met with staff apologies that there were no more extra blankets.
My overhead light blew just before take off, but staff were quick to offer use of their personal book light.

QANTAS

Customer Service:

The customer service at QANTAS is awesome. They are really kind and friendly and as you may have heard, they are putting "Safety First" by choosing not to fly under the ash cloud. I do think that they could waive the frequent flyer fee though.

Food and Beverages:

The food and beverage service is very good. You get decent portion sizes and plenty of options to choose from. There are items like cheese and crackers, cocoa cola, sprite, M&M's, you name it!

Entertainment:

I was only on a 1 hour flight to Wellington to Auckland, so there wasn't much entertainment. Sure, there were about 12 drop down screens around the plane used to show TV,  and in-armrest recorded radio that just repeats, but that's it

Overall:

Overall, i am quite impressed with QANTAS, they did a good job. I hope to fly again soon!

Rating 8/10

Fact: "QANTAS" stands for Queensland And Northern Territory Aerial Service
P.S Don't stereo-type and say that since this airline is Aussie it is average, because it is actually quite good.

Air New Zealand

Air New Zealand is one of the best airlines i have ever been on.

Customer Service:

Where do i start? The customer service at Air New Zealand is absolutely awesome!
The flight attendants are really friendly and they are not slack.
The ground crew are also really friendly and always treat you as a
person, not just a statistic (they actually greet you, unlike some airlines).

Food and Beverage:

Air New Zealand's food and beverage service is top-notch. You get about 3 choices for breakfast, morning tea, lunch, after-noon tea, dinner, dessert and supper! The food they serve is always delicious and I am always pumped for the next course (on the 777 you can order whenever you want)

Entertainment:

This is where Air NZ lets them selves down. The entertainment system is old and hard to use. My seat back entertainment system on the 747 was really grubby and the attendant call button and "Stop" button didn't work! I think Air New Zealand should replace the 747 entertainment system, because the one on the 767/A320 (Ones that fly to Aussie) are way more flash.

Overall:

Air New Zealand is one of the best airlines ever and I always look forward to flying with them! I enjoy the fact they shouted me an air points card and they are continuing to fly despite the ash cloud.

I would give Air New Zealand 8.5/10 stars.
Well done Air New Zealand!!

Pacific Blue

Pacific Blue is a pretty budget airline. That being said, its not a bad airline

Customer Service:

The cabin crew and ground crew are really friendly. They are very efficient, however, they only had 3 attendants for 160 people on a 3 hour flight, they were working really fast and really hard. That's 1 attendant for 53 people.

The customer service is good, they made it even better with a free upgrade to Premium Economy.

Food and Beverages:

The food on Pacific Blue is very expensive, but very good. There are options like:
Cheese and Crackers, M&M's, Pepsi, etc

There are EFTPOS machines on the plane which can be used to buy food, but an EFTPOS transaction on this plane takes about 3 minutes

Entertainment:

The only option you have for entertainment is a "DigEplayer" which is like an non-touch screen Ipad loaded with music and movies. The cost to hire these is $20. (Don't do it unless you're really depserate)

Overall:

Overall, I am pleased with the Performance of Pacific Blue. I recommend this airline to someone who is looking for a cheap airfare and wants good Value

Rating 8/10

Well done Pacific Blue :-)
